This wasn’t such a smart move on the part of the producers because fans wanted to see James Bond speed down the highway instead of disappearing into the thin air. It hurt the true to life image of the car. The special effects made it look unreal and undermined one of the key selling points. 

Over the years the Bond car has evolved, grown in speed and sophistication. This is the best marketing technique for Aston Martin. Who wouldn’t want to be behind the wheel of a real Bond car? The image of a strong, fast, attractive car has become inseparable from the 007 agent. When it comes to Aston Martin, the company plays on this association and makes its cars worthy of a real spy.
